Mikaela and John’s June wedding at The Estate at River Run was a refined celebration that combined timeless elegance with personal details. The event featured accents of peony pink, which added a vibrant and sophisticated touch to the estate’s classic setting.

The day began in the luxurious Primary Suite, where Mikaela and her bridesmaids prepared for the festivities. They wore matching pajamas and sipped champagne, sharing laughter and heartfelt moments while the photographer captured candid shots of their joyful morning together.

A memorable first look with the bridesmaids took place in the grand foyer. Mikaela, radiant in her wedding gown, descended the grand staircase, leaving her bridal party visibly moved. Meanwhile, John and his groomsmen posed for portraits in the Woodhaven Billiard Room and along the pathways leading around the grounds, taking advantage of the estate’s unique settings.

Mikaela and John shared a private first look on the Brick Terrace overlooking the Bluestone and James River. They exchanged personal vows in an intimate moment, pausing to share a spontaneous dance in the Wedgeroom Ballroom, which would later be transformed for their elegant reception.

The ceremony took place on the Bluestone Terrace, where the James River provided a serene backdrop. White florals and vibrant pink peonies decorated the space, creating a visually stunning setting as Mikaela and John exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends.

After the ceremony, guests transitioned to the Cameo and Wedgeroom Ballrooms for cocktail hour and dinner. The couple personalized the celebration with signature cocktails inspired by their beloved cats. During dinner, the wedding party offered a heartfelt toast, raising glasses of champagne in celebration of the newlyweds.

The evening continued with dancing and cake cutting in the Cameo Ballroom, where laughter and energy filled the space as guests joined the couple on the dance floor. The celebration concluded with a grand sparkler exit on the front lawn, as Mikaela and John departed under a glowing canopy of sparklers held by their loved ones.
