Leigh and Robert’s wedding at the Estate at River Run, a luxury Richmond wedding venue, was a celebration of love, style, and seasonal beauty. Their chosen palette of soft blues paired well with autumn hues. Set against the golden foliage and timeless architecture, their day unfolded with grace and grandeur.

The day began in the Primary Suite, where the bride and her bridesmaids, dressed in coordinating pajamas, shared laughter and joy while posing for photos on the suite’s plush bed. With the morning well underway, the bride stepped into her gown, a long-sleeved white lace dress adorned with delicate floral appliqués. With final touches complete, she made her way to the Cameo Ballroom to share a heartfelt moment with her father, an emotional exchange filled with tears, hugs, and tender smiles.

Meanwhile, the groom and groomsmen began the day with games of corn hole and oversized chess poolside before getting ready in the Pool House.

With anticipation building on both sides, the bride made her way to the second floor of the Wedgewood Ballroom, where the groom awaited their first look. His eyes welled with emotion the moment he saw her, moved by the moment and the depth of their love.

With the autumn leaves at their peak, the couple captured their wedding party photos in the Oak Grove, where the seasonal landscape offered a natural canvas of warmth and beauty. They also posed on the front lawn, the estate’s magnificent façade adding a regal charm to the portraits.

The Bluestone Terrace offered a stunning backdrop for the ceremony, with the James River sparkling in the distance beneath a brilliant blue sky. A floral arch, bursting with vibrant pinks, reds, and oranges, framed the couple as they exchanged heartfelt vows. A live painter stood just off to the side, capturing the moment on canvas as guests looked on in awe. When the finished artwork was later revealed, it drew audible gasps and admiration.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the Brick Terrace, while the couple posed for portraits along the Pool House walkway, bathed in the warm glow of autumn foliage.

The reception took place in the Wedgewood Ballroom, where the venue’s blue walls and intricate wallpaper complemented the soft blue linens and dramatic floral centerpieces. At their sweetheart table, the couple shared dinner before the grand floor-to-ceiling windows.

After dinner, guests moved downstairs to the Tuscan Ballroom to celebrate on the dance floor. The couple shared their first dance, followed by touching parent dances. Tucked away in the Wine Cellar, the newlyweds enjoyed a sweet moment cutting their cake amid rustic stone walls and vintage elegance.

With the band playing into the night, the atmosphere buzzed with lively energy. As the festivities drew to a close, guests lined the exit and blew bubbles as the couple walked hand in hand to a waiting vintage car, a magical farewell to an unforgettable day.
