Waterford-styled chandeliers with antique Straus crystals cast a warm inviting glow. The “Casino Rose” marble floors imported from Italy, columns with 23-carat gold leaf Corinthian capitals, block egg-and-dart crown molding, detailed wallpaper, and dramatic double-door entry into the Cameo Ballroom, evoke a sense of timeless luxury and all contribute to the breathtaking first look as you enter the Estate.

If one looks closely, one may spot a design theme throughout the house of the oak leaf and acorn, which original owner, Mr. Massey used as a symbol for himself. The plaster cornice features this oak leaf and acorn detail and the custom-designed, hand-printed damask wallpaper features both the leaf and acorn motif as well as Mr. Massey’s initials, “WBM”, as the central focus of the design. The upholstered cornices in the grand entry hall were drawn directly from Mrs. Saunders’s imagination, but have all the style and elegance of the 18th century.

The Dining Room containins original furnishings, including a custom hand-carved table, grand chandelier, and intricate moldings.

The Woodhaven Billiard Lounge is complete with a billiards table, custom mantle, pub table, and beautiful outdoor views. The intricately carved wood creates a stately and warm environment for relaxation and enjoyment.

The Foxhaven Room is connected to the Brick Terrace and is a great space to lounge, host an intimate meal, or host a bar serving an indoor/outdoor event. With its brick walls, abundant natural light, and dark wood accents, the Foxhaven Room exudes warmth and charm, offering a cozy retreat within the grandeur of The Estate at River Run.

The Tuscan Ballroom is a rustic yet elegant space, characterized by its exposed brick walls and stone fireplaces. From the ornate ceiling, offset by the palate of “river” blues and contrasting neutral accents, to the extravagant handmade oak spiral staircase, which is perfect for a grand entrance. The double-height ballroom also features a musicians’ gallery running around 3 sides of the room. This ballroom exudes elegance and sophistication, with the chandelier serving as a focal point that illuminates the room with a soft, ambient light. The architectural design of the Wedgewood Ballroom reflects a blend of classic styles, making it a versatile space for various events.

The Cameo Ballroom, featuring a beautiful chandelier, fireplace, and grand piano, is a testament to refined elegance. The chandelier’s intricate design and the charming fireplace create a romantic and luxurious atmosphere. The grand piano adds a touch of classic charm, making this ballroom an ideal setting for intimate gatherings and special occasions. Architecturally, the Cameo Ballroom has an elaborate hand-molded plaster ceiling in the grand 18th century English style. The design features acanthus leaf scrolls as well as griffins and other faces hidden within the overall arrangement. The three double doorways across the back of this space create an effortless indoor-outdoor transition to the terrace, and the natural color palette is preferred by planners as it creates an elegant, understated backdrop for small events, or a beautiful pass through during an indoor/outdoor event.

The upper brick terrace offers suburb views of the estate and surrounding landscapes. The limestone balustrade opens to a double curved staircase to the lower terrace. The curved brick staircase with a custom-forged iron railing makes for a grand entrance unlike any other. Flowing seamlessly from the main floor, this space is ideal for indoor-outdoor cocktail hours, or more intimate wedding ceremonies.
