Abby Bowles
Director of Client Experience
Abby is our Director of Client Experience and works with our clients on all things logistics. She graduated from James Madison University in 2017 where she earned a Bachelors of Music with a concentration in education. A Richmond native, Abby now lives in North Chesterfield with her husband, Jimmy, two cats, and Miniature Australian Shepherd. When she isn’t planning weddings at River Run, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, indulging her online shopping habits, and eating/drinking her way through the incredible Richmond restaurant scene.
Abby has always been very interested in the coordination of events, both big and small! She takes after her mother in her attention to small details, which was fostered and grown through her experience in musical theatre productions from the perspective of both a performer and artistic team member.
Her love of working behind the scenes has been prevalent in many areas of her life, but she found her full appreciation and passion for events with the planning of her own wedding in Fall of 2019.
Abby made the transition to the wedding and events industry in Spring 2021 after teaching music for three years in a local school system and has not looked back since! Her experience in the classroom certainly helps her in wrangling wedding party members and in keeping a calm, collected demeanor on wedding days.
She looks forward to meeting each new family that visits River Run and loves to share in the journey of event planning alongside them.
